By train and bus
You can reach Strobl by bus (bus 150 or bus 546) from Bad Ischl railway station or by bus 150 from Salzburg main railwaystation.

When you come from Linz you can buy a OÖ Verbund ticket at (most of) the
vending machines at the tram station, which includes
tram in Linz, train and bus 546. In total this ticket is cheaper.

Linz - St. Wolfgang via Wels Attnang, Bad Ischl.
Note this ticket includes bus 546 not bus 150.
