Ubuntu/Debian repository

G+Smo is now available on Launchpad for Ubuntu/Debian.

  • To install the library from the upstream PPA on Ubuntu type:
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:g+smo/upstream
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install gismo
  • On Debian you can install the package by:
    sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key 539A16962C34F771
    sudo echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/g+smo/upstream/ubuntu trusty main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install libgismo

After the initial installation, you can update the library to the latest revision using

sudo apt-get install --only-upgrade gismo

OpenSuse Linux

The G+Smo upstream source code is mirrored in the OpenSuse build service.

  • Using zypper (eg. for installing from Science repo on OpenSuse 13.1):
    sudo zypper ar -f http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/science/openSUSE_13.1/ Science
    sudo zypper update
    sudo zypper install gismo

Gentoo Linux

G+Smo is now available in the science overlay for Gentoo Linux.

  • To install the library from the science overlay on Gentoo type:
    sudo emerge layman
    sudo layman -a science
    sudo echo "sci-mathematics/gismo ~amd64" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
    sudo emerge sci-mathematics/gismo
